Department of Justice, Risdon Prison
At What Cost?
The Risdon Prison Project emphasised the beauty and value of Nature. In keeping with this environmental theme the design hilights iconic Tassie features such as Cradle Mountain and Wineglass Bay. The illusive Tasmanian Tiger is glimpsed and tracks are found growing in vines. The curves in this design mirror the architecture in the public space across the road and the design maintains a sense of fun and vibrancy.
