Bimblebox
Bimblebox nature refuge, 50km north-west of Alpha in central Queensland and 8,000 hectares in area, is home to many threatened and diminishing native animals and birds including koalas and the endangered black-throated finch. If a proposed open cut coal mine is permitted at 'Bimblebox', it will set a precedent for land management all around Queensland. Here I have represented a few species found in Bimblebox with an emphasis on how different species require different types of habitat in order to nest and raise their young.
