Binkin-Ba

The corner on which the TSB stands has been the location for movie theatres since the 1920s. I drew inspiration from 1920s Art Nouveau and 1930s movie posters for the front panel, and created a fictional movie to advertise. "Binkin-Ba", the traditional Aboriginal name for the New Farm area, is the title of the film, and the stars' names reference familiar landmarks and streets in the area. The sides show old-fashioned movie tickets.
