Swallows in Flight
The Welcome Swallow is a common sighting throughout Tasmania throughout the warmer months. By nature they are friendly birds who enjoy the company of others, often seen in pairs or groups. I painted the Welcome Swallow's silhouette to not only show our lovely animal diversity, but also to symbolise Hobart's sense of community and coming together. The background aims to show Hobart's closely knit roads and historical buildings in an array of bright colours in abstract patterns to liven the area in which the Signal Box is located.
